Artificial turf
Artificial Turf Installation in McKinney, TX
For yards that never grow grass, dogs that destroy it, or families who want green without the water bill — synthetic turf on a proper compacted base.

Artificial turf has come a long way; the good products now have natural colour variation, a thatch layer and drainage that handles a Texas downpour. Where it shines is small backyards, shaded side yards, pool surrounds and dog runs.
How we install it
- Remove the existing lawn and grade the area
- Compacted base of decomposed granite or road base for drainage and a flat surface
- Weed barrier, turf cut and seamed, edges secured, infill brushed in
- Bender board or steel edge against beds so the line stays clean
Is it right for you?
Turf costs more up front than sod but needs no mowing, water or fertiliser. If you have full sun and want a real lawn, sod is usually the better value — we will tell you honestly which one fits your yard.
Questions about artificial turf
Is artificial turf safe for dogs?
Yes — we use pet-friendly turf with good drainage and can add a deodorising infill. Rinse it occasionally in summer.
Does it get hot?
It runs warmer than grass in direct sun. Lighter colours, a shade tree or a quick hose-down help; for a play area we may suggest a mix of turf and shaded beds.
