Sod & lawn
Sod Installation in McKinney & Collin County — Bermuda, Zoysia, St. Augustine
New sod is only as good as what is underneath it. We grade, amend, fix the irrigation and then lay the right variety for your sun, shade and traffic.

Sod fails in North Texas for predictable reasons: it goes down on compacted clay, the sprinkler heads never reached the corners, or it was laid in the middle of August with no plan for water. We fix those things first.
Varieties we install
- Tahoma 31 Bermuda — the drought- and cold-tolerant Bermuda we used on the Tran project; fine texture, fast recovery, full sun.
- Zeon Zoysia — a dense, soft, dark-green zoysia that handles part shade and looks like carpet in side yards.
- Other varieties on request — TifTuf Bermuda, Palisades Zoysia or St. Augustine for heavier shade; we will recommend based on sun, dogs, kids and how much you want to mow.
What is included
- Removal of old turf or dead patches and haul-away
- Grading for drainage away from the foundation, topsoil or compost where needed
- Irrigation check and adjustments — rerouting lines and adding heads so every square foot gets water
- Fresh-cut sod laid tight, rolled and watered in, with a watering schedule you can actually follow
Best time to install sod
Spring and early fall are ideal — warm soil, cooler air — but with a proper watering plan we install year-round. Cooler weather gives the roots the best chance to establish before summer heat sets in.
Questions about sod & lawn
How much does sod cost?
It depends on the variety, the square footage and how much prep the ground needs. Send us photos or an address and we will give you a written price, usually within a day.
Can you fix my sprinklers at the same time?
Yes. Sod and irrigation go together — we regularly find leaks, broken heads and lines that never reached part of the yard, and fix them before the sod goes down.
How soon can I walk on it?
Stay off it for about two weeks while the roots knit into the soil, and mow once it can no longer be lifted at the corners.
